I am a professional with 38+ years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement Management / Supply Chain / Logistics-Warehousing and Forwarding for Shipbuilding and Ship-repairs. I have held positions of significant responsibility in the areas of material purchasing, services/subcontracting and contract management.

At Directorship/Head of Purchasing level, I have dealt with the commercial, private and public sectors and have contributed to successful supply chain operations in projects such as:

Main duties:

Purchasing Planning, Monitoring, and Controlling
Responsible for Integration/communication-frame agreements within the Group.
Responsible for Issuing & controlling all Guidelines–Work instructions for Purchasing.
Worldwide market research in order to establish and grow quality business contacts with supply vendors.
Manage, evaluate and final negotiations for tenders in order to ensure material & services supply optimization, for Frigates modernization program, Gunboats & Submarines.
Procurement orders and Subcontracting Contracts issuance/signing.
Cooperation with internal departments (managers level) such as engineering, planning, warehouse, accounting and legal in order to control the entire procurement process.
Suppliers Evaluation database design, creation & implementation. Evaluated Supplier's database handling.
Contract management tool design, creation & implementation in cooperation with IT dept.
Constitution & Organization of the Forwarding dept as a new service provider in HSY. Orders follow-up / Claim management at prime level.
Reporting via the company’s ERP system – Purchasing Controlling/Reporting to BoD.
